Guide

When a private note link is better than plain email.

Email is not bad at everything. It is just often the wrong place for short private text that does not need to live forever in inboxes, forwards, and archives.

Email is excellent for durable conversation

If the note belongs in a documented thread or needs to stay attached to a full decision trail, email may be the correct choice.

Private note links help with temporary details

If the message is a short code, callback instruction, or one-off credential, a private note link can be cleaner than putting the text directly into the message body.

The best choice depends on the job

Use email when the communication itself matters. Use a private note link when the content is brief, temporary, and better kept out of routine message history.
